Tractor Fire Leads to Grass Fire

At around 5:00pm Tuesday, June 11, North Douglas County Fire & EMS, and the Douglas Forest Protective Association responded to a grass fire near the 1000 block of Scott's Valley Rd. in Yoncalla.

A tractor caught fire while harvesting hay and quickly spread through the field. Fire crews arrived on scene minutes after dispatch and contained the fire at 4 acres. Crews remind on scene for an additional 30 minutes moping up hot spots.

Two tractors were heavily damaged from the fire.
