North Douglas County Fire & EMS (NDCFEMS) provides Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to residents and visitors in Curtin, Drain, Rice Hill and Yoncalla. NDCFEMS also services  Elkton and Kellogg and their surrounding rural areas.  NDCFEMS responds to approximately 1,200 calls each year.  

Even with good medical insurance, a bill will usually follow an emergency ambulance transport. Non-members pay it themselves. With FireMed, members do not receive a bill for emergency medical transports. It's that simple.

North Douglas County Fire & EMS enjoys being engaged in the community to educate and provide resources in the event of an emergency. The department not only uses resources from the National Fire Protection Association and the Oregon State Fire Marshals Office, they designs resources and develop education based on the community concerns and needs.
