At 6:14pm, December 15th, 2017, North Douglas County Fire & EMS was dispatched to a report of a fully involved barn fire in the 4000 block of Hayhurst Rd. in Yoncalla. Fire crews had the fire under control within the hour and requested mutual aid from Oakland Rural Fire District for water support and manpower.
The barn is estimated to be a complete loss. Nobody was injured from the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
