Natural Cover Fire 105 Cofey Crossing Ln.

At around 3:14pm North Douglas County Fire & EMS units were returning from a motor vehicle accident on I-5 when a unit spotted smoke in the 4300 block of Eagle Valley Rd. in Yoncalla. Units from North Douglas County Fire & EMS and Douglas Forest Protective Association arrived to a slow moving Natural Cover Fire next to a single story house at 105 Cofey Crossing Ln. Firefighters contained the fire within minutes and remained on scene for over an hour for mop-up. North Douglas County Fire & EMS responded with one brush truck, two water tenders, one ambulance and eight firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Douglas Forest Protective Association.
